About Us
Welcome to Lawrie Crafted!
A driving passion for us is the belief that jewellery should not only look good, but should also be affordable, and most importantly be made to last.
With this in mind, all Lawrie Crafted jewellery is created using stainless steel. This is an awesome material as it doesn't tarnish, won't turn your skin green, you can wear it in the surf and it won't become discoloured, it's also super sturdy and won't get misshapen easily.
Our rings and pendants are sustainably sourced and created by re-using existing materials. For all rings and pendants we source pre-loved cutlery that has already served it's previous owners well. We then take the cutlery, refurbish and reshape it to create beautiful pieces of jewellery, thereby allowing these previously discarded pieces to serve a new purpose and have new life being worn by you.
All art and jewellery available for purchase is created by Daniel Lawrie, who started painting again as a hobby back in 2018 and creating jewellery from pre-loved materials in 2020.
"I've always enjoyed the creative process... you know I just love working with my hands.
I get a bit antsy if I'm sitting around looking at a screen all day. I worked a corporate job for 6 years, all I could do when I was working was think about the work day to finish so I could go to the garage and paint or make some rings.
Being able to start creating art and jewellery full-time is like a dream come true. I'm so excited to share my work with the world, while continuing to develop new ideas and pieces.
There's nothing better than when I'm at the Markets and someone tries on my jewellery, and you can just see in their face that they've found a piece that they love and will keep for a lifetime. It's an unreal feeling." - Daniel
